Weekly Brief · Public preview
Mali and Colombia Lead a Broader Deterioration Week
A broader hybrid week led by political violence in Mali and Colombia, with Lebanon, Pakistan, and Iran also clearing publication gates.
Public read
The week of Apr 20–26 produced five publication-grade cases, led by Mali and Colombia. Political violence produced the strongest public signals, while Lebanon remained publication-grade through border and ceasefire erosion.
Pakistan also crossed the threshold through a targeted political-violence event. Iran remained publication-grade through sanctions and maritime-escalation pressure, but is treated as a shorter, context-sensitive case rather than the lead.
